What the connector cannot do

Important limitations, for transparency and trust.

Transparency is a core value. Here's what Ehfina's connector does not do:

Ehfina does not access your conversations

Enabling the Ehfina connector does not give Ehfina access to your ChatGPT or Claude conversation history. Only the specific data exchanged through individual tool calls is transmitted to Ehfina. Your chat history, session context, and unrelated conversation content remain entirely within your AI assistant provider.

Ehfina does not generate recommendations itself

Ehfina stores your preferences and experiences. It assembles evidence-based context for your AI assistant, but the actual recommendation is synthesized by the AI model (ChatGPT or Claude), not by Ehfina. This means:

  • Recommendations are AI-synthesized, not deterministic
  • They may vary based on how the request is phrased
  • They are not guaranteed to be accurate or to your taste

Ehfina does not automatically sync with the web

Ehfina does not scrape restaurant websites, menus, or review sites. Restaurant data comes from what you or your assistant explicitly share. Ehfina does not maintain a live database of restaurant hours, menus, or availability.

Ehfina does not make medical or allergy claims

Recommendations are labeled non-safety-critical. Ehfina does not filter for allergies, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions at a system level. Users with allergies or dietary restrictions must verify ingredients directly with the restaurant or food provider.

Ehfina does not share data between users

Your taste profile is private. It is not shared with other users, used to build cross-user models, or used for advertising. The only people who can see your data are those you explicitly invite into a sharing group and grant access to specific parts of your profile.

Ehfina does not sell data

Your personal data is never sold to third parties. Ehfina does not participate in data brokerages, advertising networks, or data sales of any kind.

Ehfina does not store your AI assistant's responses

The recommendations and responses generated by ChatGPT or Claude using your Ehfina data are stored by your AI assistant provider, not by Ehfina. Ehfina only stores what you explicitly choose to record (e.g., saving a recommendation or logging an experience).
